December 5, 2009 - A fire destroyed caused by unknown reasons have destoyed over 60 homes in southern part of India. People in this place are poor. They make their living by going to the sea catching fish making a days earning of $1. Few years ago a sunami hit this region on December 26 and killed tens of thousands of people.
Caused massive damage of property and loss of lives. Many children became orphans and family members lost their loved ones.
Harvest NOW helped gather some 60 orphans and with the help of a local church began to care for these orphan children. The program has been very successful. Now with the recent fire people are once again facing an uncertain future.
Please pray for these believers and those living now under open skies for God's protection and care. We are looking in to ways of helping those affected.
